Over the years I have joined and dumped countless traffic exchange programs and I admit that I rejoined traffic exchange programs after I dumped them.

Click on Community Forum in the left Navigation Menu. Look for the Power Blog Forum and then the section called Member Updates. The admin of the PowerBlog does a good job of keeping us informed.
Where To Find It To see how many personal posts you have created, and the number of comments received, do the following. Login to your PowerBlog members area. Click on the "Posts" tab. The Number in brackets is the number of comments your post received.
It Works For Me - - (Builder99 Shares A PowerUser Tip) Question No. 1. Do you know how to send your viewers to an entire category at the PowerBlog? It is easy to promote one individual posting, but how do you display a group of postings such as might be found in the Newsletter category?
Answer No. 1. Let's find the answer in 3 easy steps. First we will consider the url you would need just to go to the PowerBlog's Home Page. Then we will add the code that separates one member's home page from all other members home pages. We will use a member reference number of 208. (You will need to use your own reference number) Then finally we add the code for the Newsletter category which is &cat=3
Ready to build the url? Here we go. As easy as 1-2-3.
First Step is to create a basic url http://www.power-blog.com/index.php
Now here is the second step where we add the member reference code. Immediately after the php (at end of first part) we add a question mark followed by ref_id=208 Like this but without the brackets (?ref_id=208)
Now the third step is we just need to add the code for the Newsletter category which starts with an ampersand (the symbol found at the top of the 7 key.) Here is the final little bit of code we need. Once again like this but without the brackets (&cat=3)
That's all there is to it. Reminder that the entire url is built without using any brackets and no spaces between any characters. Here is what the final url should look like.

A few days ago I warned you about ProfitRally and its payout problems. The mistery is solved and the cause of the shortfall is a classic example of a successful business gone south.
We all are so busy trying to make a few bucks that we completely ignore the fact that we are running a business. If you run a membership site like all the free traffic exchanges or the Power Blog, you deal with members. I handle member questions on a daily base. In fact, the more members sign up the more questions are posted.
If you fail to address your member's questions and concerns then your business will suffer. Having a few hundred members is one thing, trying to take care of several members by yourself is whole new ball game. Never underestimate what it takes to survive the fearce competition and making money in the long run.
Here's my top ten list of things you need to have in place to successfully meet the growing demand of a growing business.
Create a forum so members can help members.
Create a ticket system to keep track on requests and bug reports.
Get an email account from Google. You can create several email accounts from within gmail and send out emails from these accounts. The main reason is to have access to your email from anywhere in the world.
Get a laptop to keep in touch with your business. There is no business in the world that you can turn your back to and hope that it still will be there when you return.
Get a virtual assitant. This is not an employee, but a representative for your business when you can't be reached. A virtual assitant acts like an employee, but costs a fraction of an employee.
Make sure that your business is fully automated, so you can take a break once in a while. Manually administrating a membership site and an affiliate program will break your back and prevents you from enhancing your business.
Keep track of your finances at all times. Running an affiliate program has a lot of benefits, but many more responsibilities. Paying your affiliates on time is as important if not more than getting new affiliate signing up. Pay your affiliates on time and keep records for tax purpose are essential for your survival.
Choose your hosting company wisely. You get what you pay for. A discount web hosting for a growing membership site or affiliate program is a bad idea. Make sure that backups are taken daily and that you have full control over that server. You don't need to start with a dedicated server, but you need a web hosting company that is setup to meet your growing demand for bandwidth, cumputing power and storage space.
Pay your domain name registration on time. Nothing kills your business faster than an expired domain name. Imagine your raction when you realize that your website is no longer reachable and somebody else picked up your domain name.
Always plan ahead. Imagine your business twice as big as it is today and then check if you could handle a twice as large business. If you can't do it yourself, get help. The biggest mistake of online business owners is that they hang on to do everything by themselves until it is too late.
If you keep an eye on your growing business, you are all set to succeed in the future. Having owned a successful consulting company with over a dozen employees before I crossed to the atlantic in persue of a new challenge, tought me how to plan for success. I didn't know if my consulting business would be successful, but I planned for it and when it happened I was prepared. That's what you need to do. Just being prepared is half the battle.
Learn from the faith of ProfitRally and plan for your business. Visit ProfitRally and go to the forum. You will read all about what happened to Axel and his successful business. The raise and fall of the ProfitRally empire.
My recommendation is to cancel your PRO subscription to ProfitRally with PayPal and remain a free member. There's not downsite by remaining a free member. Wait until the dust settles and monitor what happens to ProfitRally. If nothing else learn from what happened and prepare your business for success.
Unfortunatelly I have to share some bad news with you.
For the second time in a row Profit Rally failed to issue their affiliate commission payments. To be precise, I never received a payment for my commissions ever. Several attempts to contact Axel Steininger, owner of Profit Rally, failed and went unanswered.
Turns out that I'm not alone and Profit Rally's own forum is filled with similar complaints. I canceled my PRO subscription and remain a free member.
The site is still active and seems to function, but that's what these sites are designed to do. Run on autopilot until somthing happens that needs attention.
It is a shame that one of the great free traffic exchanges and pioneers in many aspects end up in a mess like this.
I will keep you posted on any progress, meanwhile do NOT upgrade your account with ProfitRally to a paid membership. You will never see any commission payments.
Hopefully this is only temporary, but chances are that this could be the end of ProfitRally.
I just got off the phone with PayPal and they confirmed that running a legit 2-tier affiliate program does not violate their policy. I suspended the 2-tier option after I read horror stories about PayPal terminating accounts. PayPal is cracking down on multi level pyramid schemes where PayPal is used to pay shares on several levels deep. The IMT affiliate program is a traditional affiliate program for electronic information products and PayPal has no problems with this.
Effective immediately the 2-tier commissions are back!!!!
That means that you will get 15% commission on sales your sub affiliates make. 10% for membership sales.
Now you can recruit an army of sub affiliates and get paid whenever they make a sale.
Login to your affiliate account, click on links and then on affiliate signup. This is your link to register sub affiliates.
Soon there will be more options to advertise the affiliate program and its benefits.
Keep in mind that a sub affiliate sales of the Power Blog PRO membership will pay you $2 each and every month. Plus 15% commission on any other sale of your sub affiliates.
Now is the time to beef up your promotion efforts.

PS: I think what I learned from this is that you should always verify statements you hear from any source. The Power Blog is no exception. Although I do my best to be thourough with my reviews, you should always get a second opinion before making a decision. That's how I do business.
Of course you should. I practice this for quite a while and I never looked back. I think this is the perfect combination. You get the best of both worlds. Did you know that 90% of all millionaires made their fortune with real estate and 10% with the internet or the stock market? Well, this doesn’t leave any room for the paycheck workers, doesn’t it?
I once read a small phrase that totally changed my life “Trading hours for money doesn’t bring you any wealth”. This powerful phrase stuck with me ever since. Take a moment and think about this. We all do it by being employed by an employer we trade hours for money. How many hours per week can you trade without completely giving up your life? 60, 70 hours max. This doesn’t leave much room for a family life or having some fun, doesn’t it?
Well, enough of this depressing stuff. Let’s talk about something fun. Did you know you can actually make money while you’re sleeping? It is called residual income.
With your internet business you want to achieve residual income through selling membership subscriptions to any form of service that charges monthly dues. Typically you will receive your share of this as monthly installments. You do the work once and you get paid over and over again.
With real estate you achieve the same effect with rental properties. Although your involvement in the process is a little bit bigger, but it is still manageable. You have to collect the rent and making sure it is paid on time. On the other hand you have to pay all the bills like mortgage payments, insurance, taxes and sometimes utility bills. Depending on the type of lease agreement you have with the tenants.
This takes care of the residual income part. As a rule of thumb if your residual income covers your living expenses you’re on your way to be successful. Now you can start doing the fun part with real estate. Not that there’s anything wrong with being a landlord. I personally don’t like this part of investing in real estate.
The fun part for me is to work deals with real estate. It could be buying an old property way below market, fix it up and sell it with a profit. Another method in dealing with real estate is called flipping. In this case I simply control the property through a contract and then assign the contract to another buyer. Of course I will collect a fee for my services. I prefer the second method because the least amount of money and work is involved. Fixing up properties can turn into a time and money consuming project.
The point I want to make is that you need to establish some sort of residual income to cover your basic living expenses in order to expand your business.
Of course you can do all of the things mentioned and still working full time. That’s what most people are doing. However you have to decide if the extra income is worth the effort. You will need a lot of time to do both investing in real estate and running an internet business.

Anyone interested in doing a little serious thinking ...?
Don't "treasure the trash" and please don't "trash the treasure". In an attempt to indicate the seriousness of my article title, "Don't Treasure The Trash" perhaps we should sub-title this article "The Tragedy Of Online Trash"
If articles of this nature can save even one person from the "Tragedy of Online Trash" then it will have achieved its purpose.
Programs that insult my intelligence (claiming I can become filthy rich overnight while doing absolutely nothing, or almost nothing) seem to garner more interest and replies than they deserve.
On the other hand, when someone tries to promote a high quality program which offers a potential to earn a reasonable income IF we work at it long enough and hard enough, very little response is noted in many cases.
Have we become the "I want it all, and I want it right now" generation?
If it requires hard work and patience to become successful in the offline world, how could it possibly be any different in the online world?
The Internet has no right to try and suspend the "Laws of Common Sense"
Instead of us becoming so greedy that we can't wait to "Join" every new program that promises to double our money in x number of days, why not look at it in the following way.
Instead of wanting to get, let us put ourselves in the position of the one who gives.
Let's assume for a moment that we are the creator of the latest and greatest program that will make the whole world become filthy rich overnight. Except in this case, we will not offer anything except the very best.
It must be totally legal. It must not take unfair advantage of anyone. It must have a real product or service that people want and people need. It must be consumable so that people will want and need to renew it over and over again.
It must offer as much value to the millionth customer as it did to the first few (who flocked to "get in early") It must be something that will work as well 10 or 20 years from now as it claims to do today.
If we were offering such a program and had a burning desire to be fair to ALL those who joined (not just those who get in early) and at the same time recognized the need to earn enough for ourselves, so that this wonderful program will remain for many years to come ...
How could we possibly claim to be able to give back far more than people put into it and do it all in a very short span of time?
Now here is the thought-provoking question which might help us evaluate those fly-by-night programs scattered all over the Net.
If we in an upright and ethical manner could not possibly reward our members with huge sums of money they didn't earn or deserve, why are we so gullible as to believe that someone else could or would "double or triple our investment" in their "program"?
Just a few thoughts ...
