This is an important announcement. I just had to delete a post to the Power Blog, because it broke the following rules.
1. No Power Blog affiliate links
In a previous post I explained the importance of the Power Blog affiliate link and how it benefits everybody.
2. Blatant advertising.
The Power Blog is all about giving advice and reviews. Power Blog members are welcome to join the Internet Marketing Forum and place their ads in the special section of the forum. Registration to the new forum is open to all Power Blog members. The special invitation code is available at the main page of your Power Blog member account site. Just login and look around.
I have no other joice than to delete all new posts that do not confirm with the policies.
Today I like to write another post about the Power Blog. You propably noticed all the new posts from fellow Power Blog members. This is great news and I encourage all members to start posting as soon as they qualify.

Bingo, the cookie is set and lives for 999 days.

A while back I wrote about the SPAM problems with the Internet Marketing Forum. Meanwhile I researched the phpBB community and found several solutions to the problem.
This weekend I have to take the forum offline to do extensive work and move the entire forum to another web host.
The new forum will have a new layout and also enhance security. New ad-ons will be installed as well.
The forum will be by invitation only. Invitations will be extented to Power Blog members. This will completely stop all the bots that automatically register names.
Increasing the security, only registered members will be able to view profiles. Email addresses will be encrypted so mail bots have no way to ready email addresses.
As you can see, this is a lot of work and during this time, no new posts or registrations can occur. Therefore the forum will be locked down.
You will receive an email when the forum is back open again.
Once again, this is major work on the forum to improve security and crack down on SPAM. Hopefully you will enjoy the new forum.

As an example of how you could add your favorite resources, see thevariety of items displayed in my Resources area. After login to your members area you can click on the Skins tab to revise and update this section.

A new version of a software tool or operating system is not always a good thing. Yes, you get all the new features, but you also get some headaches if you're a developer that tries to keep up with technology.
The Power Blog experienced its own share of problems with the new Internet Explorer 7. For some reason the HTML editor is not working correctly anymore and finding the problem in more than 2000 lines of code is like finding a needle in the hey stack.
While I'm looking for the needle, I had to turn off the HTML editor to fix the broken screens. This is a temporary thing and should be solved shortly.
On another token, the Power Blog is all about building downlines and dynamically inserting affiliate ids when the content is displayed. I don't want to go into details about how the Power Blog works, but I have to make a few changes to the policy.
Now here's the new policy about posting new content to the Power Blog.
No HTML code is allowed anymore. To use the affiliate links you need to select the link from the available link code menu. There will be a special code for the affiliate link that will be replaced at runtime with the real link. This ensures that every post follows the Power Blog concept, regardless who's writing the content.

His advice - try replacing the word ClickBank occasionally e.g. use 'CB'.
