Once in a while I need some positive feedback to keep doing what I am doing. If you're familiar what it means to run an online business, an affiliate program and a membership site. You know what I'm talking about. This is a lot of work and it is not like I am making boatloads of money.
The one thing that keeps me going are the review comments from LinkReferral. There are almost 1000 reviews about the Power Blog and they are 99% positive and encouraging. I get my strength from there.
BTW: LinkReferral is a great site to drive traffic to your site. It is not much, but it is steady and I get a lot of signups to the Power Blog. What I love about this site is its honesty. They promise 20-60 unique visitors per day. I get 35 visitors. Right in the range they promised.
You might have noticed that there were more activities around the Power Blog as usual. Yes, I was busy to make improvements and rewriting the user manual. I hope you are enjoying these improvements.
As I mentioned before I was in the process to connect the Power Blog with Clickbank. Well, this was not a success story at all. For whatever reason Clickbank didn't approve the Power Blog PRO membership. Go figure. This is exactly what made Clickbank big. I think it is more of Clickbank's 8 week money back policy that got into the way. I haven't seen a membership site with monthly fees that is giving more than 30 days of money back guarantee. If I'm wrong, please let me know.
I am currently working with AlertPay to add their services to the payment processor list. Unfortunately I am having major issues with their API. Hopefully I can overcome these issues soon.
I also signed up with Authorize.net. Needless to say that my application is still pending and I have no idea when and how it will be approved. The sales rep was pretty pushy to have me signed up, but now nothing is happening.
OK, these are pretty depressing news and I don't want to bother you further with my issues with service providers and their non-performance. If nothing else you got a rare view behind the scenes on what it means to run your online business on your very own program code.
But I have good news for Power Blog members.

A couple of days ago I signed up for a new service called Affiliate Junction. I am a little bit confused with their offerings. As of today I don't have a login nor did they respond to a simple support ticket.
This lets me to believe that it is yet another fly-by-night operation that is looking for a quick buck. It really upsets me that I have to sign up for a web hosting that I really don't need. This alone is not what gets me the wrong way. I opened a ticket almost 48 hours ago and I am still waiting for an response. I think I already know the answer. You have to sign up with the their preferred web hosting provider.
Unfortunately I know this provider and I am not happy to join them again. They still owe me money for affiliate commissions and their web hosting is shaky at best.
Yeah, yeah, I can hear you. Stone Evans' PIPS is the same way and I don't critique him as hard as Affiliate Junction. Well, there's a big difference. The Host4profit service Stone requires is one of the better web hosting services and I get an affiliate commission check each and every month like clockwork.

I love free stuff, especially if the free stuff actually works. DigitalPoint has a free advertising coop that puts one-way links to your website onto over 20,000 websites.
