Why Most People Will Never Make a Full-Time Income Online

It all starts when some well-meaning (yet misdirected) person encourages a budding internet entrepreneur to "start in a niche they know alot about", or base their business around "something they're passionate about"...

As horrible as it may sound - they've unknowingly sent the hopeful entrepreneur down a path of false expectations, poor results and eventually - failure. In fact, the myth of "do what you love and the money will follow" has been responsible for more failure than likely any other influence - perhaps even more so than laziness or a lack of perseverance.

Because the simple truth of the matter is that the only way you're going to make real money on the net is if your business is based around two crucial things:

1) Large Demand

2) Buyers

In other words - you aren't going to get rich selling a $15 ebook about growing square watermelons - even though that might be a great passion of yours.

The demand just isn't there. Maybe there's a few searches a day on Google for the topic, and perhaps there's some interest in the online "gardening enthusiast" communities - but you'd be hard-pressed to make even a few hundred dollars a month from ebook sales.

Similarly, you also aren't going to have a particularly easy time getting rich by building websites about some seemingly "popular" topics like humor, jokes, funny pictures and so on. And while there are a few ways to "monetize" your site (with AdSense, CPA Offers, CPM Banners, etc.), it takes literally millions of website visitors to make even just a few thousand dollars in markets like that.

The demand is huge - but the visitor value is extremely low...

Instead, if you want to make it big online - pulling down an impressive six-figure income - you need to tap into markets with tons of demand, where the majority of the visitors are valuable.

You need to capture tons of traffic that wants to buy something. If you take this approach, you'd practically have to hijack your own order links (or affiliate links) not to make a sizeable income.

In fact - did you know that some affiliates make several thousand dollars daily just by promoting a single product in hot markets? (Just imagine what the merchant is making...)

In some markets there's actually so much demand that the vendors are quite literally selling over a thousand units - or more - per day. Digital products, with practically zero overhead/delivery cost.

But it all comes back to tapping into valuable demand. In most cases, it takes no extra effort or "skill" to market to a valuable market than it does to struggle along with something you're passionate about.

These two factors - demand and buying traffic - are what seperate the "wannabe" marketers from the millionaires. Because there's no real secret - you just need to sell what thousands of people are already buying.

The ball is now officially in your court. Are you tapping into markets with massive, valuable demand?

MLM To The Rescue During A Recession

The deep recession that we are experiencing has affected almost everyone in one-way or the other. Many people have been victims of job loss and significant reduction of their retirement savings. Numerous businesses have been forced out of business. While most traditional businesses are suffering, there is one untraditional business that's prospering, and that is Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM).

Network marketing or MLM is a method of marketing products or services through independent representatives. It is one of the fastest growing businesses but is not classed as an industry. It is a marketing method for moving a product from A to B. This marketing method can be started on a part time basis, which means there is no reason to quit your day job. This can be done anywhere but usually takes place from the comfort of your own home. You are able to choose the amount of hours that you spend network marketing and you also choose whom you decide to work with; you are basically your own boss; however success depends on your desire to succeed so you will need to put in the work. Your success also depends on helping other people reach success because when you introduce someone to an MLM business, you get commission from the sales that they create. 

Turning to the help of network marketing/MLM during a recession can help you more than you can imagine! You have the potential of bringing in thousands of dollars a month. There is actually no limit to the amount of income you could make and to make things even better, the start up costs you will be facing are extremely low and you could be entitled to tax benefits due to the fact you would be running the business from your home.

Networking marketing during a recession doesn’t mean you will be traveling door-to-door and it doesn’t mean that you will have to hassle family and friends. What you should be doing is presenting the opportunity to make money to the people who want and need it most; you need to put your solution out there to a hungry, targeted audience who has been waiting for an opportunity just like this to get their lives back on track.

Historically network marketing has created numerous opportunities when it comes to creating wealth and never before has there been a need to create wealth than in times of a recession. Anyone can get involved in network marketing. You don’t have to have any past experience, as all of the training you may need to succeed will be provided to you. So if you are hurting financially or you merely need some extra cash to get you through these difficult times, network marketing could be just the answer you are looking for.

It has been said that more millionaires will be created through this business in the next ten years than any other industry. So there has never been a better time than now to start creating a recession proof income for your future.

Help, Idiots Are Amongst Us

Sorry for the harsh title, but I have to be rude in this matter.

Idiots are making my live misserable and put Power Blog members at risk.

Twitter suspeneded the Power Blog account and a couple of other user accounts. I am in communication with Twitter to figure out what happened. But I can tell the somebody send the Power Blog tweets as SPAM report.

Until further notice no more tweets will be send to Twitter.

I got several emails from a couple of Power Blog members complaining that the Power Blog posted to their Twitter account. That's exactly what it was designed for and you needed to add your Twitter login and possword to activate this feature. The feature is clearly spelled out and only if you didn't read the instructions you will not know what happens. How can you enter your login and password without reading what will happen?

As I said. The Power Blog doesn't violate the Twitter rules, only if somebody sends a support ticket to Twitter, they will temporarely suspend the account. Now I will have hours of discussions with Twitter ahead of me to undo the mess.

WHOEVER DID THIS = THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Factors That Contribute To Blogging Success

All prospective bloggers would like to identify the factors that contribute to blogging success. Here are some questions all bloggers ask.

1. What kind of a set up does a successful blog need to have?
2. How does the blog's content contribute to its success?
3. Does the way you blog matter?

Here are the answers to these questions.

Create The Right Ethos

Ethos is all about your culture. At first glance, your home page summarizes all about your ethos. The content and subjects in your blog reveal your culture, taste and style.

This is true whether you are blogging as an individual or a corporate. So deciding the subjects that make up your blog is the first prerequisite for blogging success.

Commit Time

This is very important. Blogging success requires that you should focus on tenacity, regularity and consistency. All this demands that you should commit a good deal of your time to blogging. There is no point writing for some time and then giving it up. It takes lot of time to set up, research and write a quality blog that will engage your audience.


Maintain Transparency

Expertise and willingness to disclose all aspects of a subject is what the blog audience wants from you. Remember the following tips. Be honest while engaging in a dialogue, avoid hurting people's sentiments and be open to all forms of discussion. Of course, you have the freedom to moderate posts that cross the limits of what is undesirable and are not conducive to public aesthetics. Do plenty of research to validate your data. Maintaining credibility goes a far way in sustaining readership and achieving blogging success.

Be Interactive

Engage your audience in a dialogue. Your ability to create interest and engage the audience in a meaningful dialogue is an important aspect of blogging success. A well-written post on a topic of interest will create a meaningful thread that will add immense value to your blog. Your audience will find the thread evocative, informative and constructive.

Read And Comment On Other Blogs

This is one way of getting to know the audience, extracting value and increasing traffic to your blog. When you become proactive on another blog, you will get to know new contacts. These new contacts can well be experts who can contribute immeasurably to your blog. Posts by experts are catalysts to blogging success.

Make The Content Eye-Catching

Readers who surf the net do not have enough patience to read an entire content before they grasp the subject. Make your topics interesting by using catchy keyword phrases, by displaying convincing graphics and by highlighting points of interest with the help of images. This is another step towards blogging success.

These are only a few ideas and are not meant to be exhaustive. Blogging success is an evolving process. The journey itself will teach you how to create a triumphant blog.

3 Areas to Create Benefits for Customers


1.  Customer Communication

Using an autoresponder to communicate with your customers saves you a lot of effort. When one of your customers subscribes to your site, or buys a product from you, you can start sending them a customized series of autoresponder mesages, thanking them for their business and introducing them to various other aspects of your site.

You can even have your newsletter on an autoresponder.  This means that when a new member joins, they are sent the first newsletter, with the date changed to the current date.  They will then receive your newsletters in sequence each week.

You can keep this automated by producing a new batch of newsletters from time to time, and if you are including forum news and special offers in your newsletter, you can have a section that displays the latest posts and offers, no matter what issue your members are receiving.

The main benefit of automating your communication is that the content is regular and new and you can be sure it's quality content that you want in front of your readers.

2. Cater to a Niche Market

Marketing your website to the world is just a little too broad.  Marketing to too small of a crowd will mean that you won't be very profitable.  Your niche market must be targeted and have a demand for your information.  A tricky line to balance?  Not too tricky, let your passions or interests be your guide.  Chances are if you're interested in it, others will be too.

You might consider catering to several niches individually and alternate the content so it is fresh and new.  Involve the reader in your subject with question producing statements or ideas.  Add a little humor or a unique perspective, invite comments and respond to them.

There are many benefits to involving customers and engaging readers, one of them being participation and building trust in your brand or content.

3.  Happy Customers are Satisfied Customers

How do you make your members happy?  Several ways, provide them an easy to use website, provide them with an abundance of content, resources, and products, and provide them with multiple ways to interact and influence the direction of the website.  Employ Web 2.0 concepts and embrace your members as an integral part of your website's development and future.

Don't make your readers ask too many questions themselves about how to find things or make use of the facilities you provide.  Anticipate their needs and give useful links to the resources they require.  The benefit of doing these things will be a more satisfied customer.

Affiliate Marketing Basics - Let's Talk About Traffic

When you’re just getting starting in Affiliate Marketing, one of the most important things you need to learn about is traffic – specifically what it is and how to get it.

Why?

Because although it’s become somewhat of a cliche these days, the truth is, “the money is in the list” – but that means YOUR list, not the list of the people whose products you’re selling – at least not if you want to be successful.

Here’s why.  As an affiliate, your job is to find people who want to buy the products you’re promoting, right?  So to do that, you need to write an ad (or hire a copywriter to write it for you), and send people to a Website where they can buy the product.

BUT – there’s a serious problem with using this method.  Do you see what it is?

Anywhere from 60 to 95% of the people you send to the sales page probably aren’t going to buy the first time.

1. Most people want to be certain that they’re making the right decision, so they usually need to see or hear from you between 5 to 12 times before making a buying decision.

2. If you’re paying for the ad and sending people to the seller’s Website, the ones who don’t buy disappear forever. (And neither you nor the seller will benefit.)

3. Of those who do buy, if you’re only sending them to the sales page, YOU still lose them forever because you have no way of knowing who they are.

Here’s the solution:

1. Write your ad and send prospects to a well-written squeeze page – YOUR squeeze page. (A squeeze page is a single page Website that has one purpose – to convince prospects to give you their contact information.  Squeeze pages should be simple – no flash, no links, and if you use a graphic or photo, keep it simple and make sure it relates to the purpose of the page.  How do you convince prospects to give you their contact information?  By giving them information that is what they’re expecting to find and that’s useful to them.)

2. Offer them an incentive to give you their contact information. (This could be a free report, a free newsletter, an audio or video product – just make sure it’s related to the niche or affiliate product.)

3. After they’ve opted in to your autoresponder, send them to your affiliate sales page.

4. Follow up with them on a regular basis – mixing good information, free bonuses from time to time and additional affiliate products.

Lather, rinse, repeat. (Once you’re making money from your first affiliate product, move on to the next and then the next and the next.)

The best thing about this is that you can set most of it up on your autoresponder, so you turn it into a “system” and it runs “almost” on autopilot.  (There is NO SUCH THING as a business that runs 100% on autopilot – and don’t believe anyone who tells you differently.)  Any business – real business – takes work and effort.  But by setting this system up this way, your autoresponder does the majority of the work, and you will only need to do simple updates and make sure you keep fresh information flowing.

5 Easy Ways to Ramp Up Your E-Book Sales

Once you've written your E-Book, got your Website up and integrated your shopping cart, you can sit back and start waiting for the money to come rolling in, right?

WRONG!

These days it's getting harder than ever before to be able to get people to notice you – and just because "you build it" doesn't mean they're going to come.

So what's an author to do?

Actually, thanks to all the tools that are available to you – including Web 2.0 – marketing your book – and ramping up your sales – is not as hard as you might think.

In fact, here are a few ideas to get your juices flowing.  Add them to your sales plan, and use them as a jumping off place to help you make even more sales.

  1. Create a long-term plan before you write even one word of your first book.  The truth of the matter is that you're probably never going to get rich from writing one E-book.  So before you start writing your first book, start thinking about your second book.  And the first product that will tie into your first book.  And the second.  And then the third.

  2. Don't put all your eggs in one basket.  Come up with as many different income streams as you can and plan to build them into your plan.  For example, can you create a workbook from your E-book?  What about recording some audio files that go into further details or give more information.  What about doing a joint venture with other experts in your industry?

  3. Sell more books at one time.  If your book covers any one of a number of popular subjects – self-help or development, home improvement, business, religion – there are probably corporations, organizations or niche markets that are always on the look-out for inexpensive gifts or bonuses for their employees, clients or associates.  Your book could be just the ticket.  Although you might have to go down in price – what do you think sounds better?  Selling one or two books at a time or selling box loads of them?

  4. Once you've built up your credibility as a published author, it's time to take things to the next level.  Have you ever dreamed of attending seminars or workshops as a presenter?  What about having a speaking career and being flown all over the world speaking to people in your niche market?  If you don't like traveling or crowds, consider putting together teleseminars or holding intimate bootcamps.

  5. Create joint ventures.  This is the fastest and easiest way to leverage your expertise and start raking in the cash.  Find people who are in similar – but not competing industries as yours.  Explore ways for you to provide value to both of your customers while you're cross-selling or upselling.  For example, if you own a restaurant, what about creating a special Valentine's Day promotion with the local florist.  Offer free drinks or desserts to any of the florist's customers who bring in a special card (that you've provided to them) when they come to your restaurant.  And your joint venture partner (the florist) gives you roses or carnations that can be given out to any women when their companion gives you the special dessert card.  See how simple that is? Real value that makes your customers happy, and builds loyalty and trust – and positions both of you as the first people your customers think of when they need flowers or want a romantic restaurant or a place to eat during a special occasion.
