Can you believe this? The Power Blog is entering its 4th year of business. This is a remarkable milestone in the fast paced internet marketing environment. Having set this milestone, I’m happy to announce what’s in store for the Power Blog in 2009.

All Members:

Every day a random Power Blog member will receive a 5000 Power Blog point bonus. The winner will be chosen and notified at login. You must login to your Power Blog account on a daily base to participate in this drawing. Please check your inbox and your Power Blog member area for the launch announcement.

Power Blog Free Members:

The features for the Power Blog free members are already beyond what most other membership sites are offering. Nevertheless, after fully integrating the Power Blog into Twitter, there are a couple of more features planned for 2009. One planned feature is to assign a Power Blog Meter to all affiliate programs. This will tell Power Blog members which affiliate programs are most popular.

Power Blog PRO Lite Members:

In 2009 there will be a sharp distinction between free PRO Lite upgrades and a paid PRO Lite membership. As you know there are two paid memberships to the Power Blog PRO Lite available. A monthly membership cost $9.97 and there is a lifetime membership for $147.

The most important change for PRO Lite members is that only paid PRO Lite members will get the matched PRO upgrade to the Power Hits Exchange . This will preserve the value for all the paid members in the Power Hits Exchange traffic program.

 

Power Blog PRO Members:

The new Google Adsense style advertising tool is in the works. This allows PRO members to place ads into the member main area and the Power Blog itself. Members are encouraged to click on the ads to earn Power Blog points. The 2nd version will allow PRO members to bid with Power Blog points for top positions.

There will be a new welcome ad placement. PRO members will not see this ad, but are able to create a welcome ad that will be placed into the random rotation. One welcome ad per PRO members will be available. This will be available soon.

Already launched is the lift of the login requirements for PRO members. PRO members do not need to login to add the Power Blog points. The points will be calculated on a daily base. This truly puts the Power Blog on autopilot.


The Power Blog already receives a lot of traffic from search engines. This trend continues in 2009 and the goal is to position the Power Blog at the top of the search engines for internet marketing related keywords.

 

What does this mean for Power Blog members?

1. Make sure that you add all of your affiliate IDs to the Power Blog affiliate programs. If you’re not a member and the program is free, what are you waiting for? Sign up and add the ID to the Power Blog. That’s a no-brainer.
   
   
2. Spread the word with the Power Blog splash pages and the lead generation pages. All available through the promo tools link the member area. The reason for this push is to spread your personalized cookie to as many places as possible. This guarantees credits to your account once these visitors return through search engines. I hope you realize the significance of this step.
   
   
3. The Power Blog is a true set it and forget it system that allows you to promote your affiliation with an affiliate program, supported by the Power Blog, without actively promoting it. You will be amazed how much traffic you receive through the Power Blog to affiliate programs you forgot about. I sure receive thank you emails referring a new member to an affiliate program, which I didn’t even remember having signed up for. That’s true marketing power on autopilot.

 

The last news on what’s in store for the Power Blog in 2009 is which programs will be actively promotes. Power Blog members promote a wide variety of programs with a diversity of opportunities. So, keep checking back what’s new and exciting.

There are a couple of old favorites that went through a complete transformation and are looking good for 2009. The economy will shift the focus to online businesses and supplement income opportunities once again. This means that an army of IM newbies will hit the scene. One of the programs that cater to this crowed is Stone Evan’s Plugin Profit Site . With the promotion of the well known SFI and Empowerism programs and the Traffic Swarm traffic exchange, the focus is on proven staples in the IM environment. All these programs recently went through a complete remake and face lift.

The Power Blog will help its free members, who can’t write their own posts, to promote these programs with frequent posts and updates.
